Miso Dengaku, an ancient Japanese dish

Kyomacho's Three-Color Miso Dengaku Assortment, made with homemade miso dengaku, is one of Japan's local delicacies. Dengaku is an ancient Japanese dish that has been eaten in many parts of Japan since ancient times.

The name "Dengaku" is said to have originated from the Heian Period custom of "Dengaku-mai," or "Dengaku dance. Dengaku-mai" is a custom in farming villages to pray for a good harvest. It is a perfect dish for autumn, when people pray for a good harvest.
